Product Review: The Detours Phinney Handlebar and Rack Bag

Finding my keys on the Phinney key fob.
My review of the Detours Phinney Handlebar and Rack Bag is live on Commute by Bike.  Hop on over and give it a read.

The Phinney, as a rack trunk.
It's a nice little handbag you can attach to your handlebars or carry as a rack trunk.  If you've enjoyed other Detours offerings, you won't be disappointed  in the Phinney.  The Madison Bag seems to be a larger version.

Fantastic idea for that bag. I like how the straps go under the carrier to hold the bag down. But Id make sure the cellphone or other valuables are zipped up inside. On the side pocket, you could hit a bump and it go flying out! :-]

I like the syle, but nto the color. It begs to get dirty!

Annie: I've been able to wipe some dark smudges off with a damp cloth but I'm thinking of Scotchguarding it for extra protection.

Jimio: I worry about the cell flying out so I stuff it in pretty deep in the pocket, which is pretty tight.

Wooooow! I think the colors are hot and stylish, and visible too! I like the shape of it, and from someone who just added a back rack to my cruiser last week, it is something to look further into. I like the way it can also attach to your handlebars.
BTW - Karen, you look very chic in the staw hat!

Thx, Inspired! My hat is actually maade of paper by D&Y. I have three of their hats and they retail for around $17. You can roll them up, stick them in your purse and they still retain their shape.

I'm thinking about getting the larger Madison bag for school. Same shape but looks like it might fit books and a lunch.

I love the orange!!! I need to check into these bags! You are making me want to move to the Southwest. Or back in the city. *sigh* Looking forward to reading about your soon new bicycling adventures :-)

Thx, Christina! The orange is very visible, which I like in a bike bag. We're pretty jazzed about our move to the Valley - lots of places to bike to within just a few miles!
