A June Flagstaff Tweed Ride - Wednesday, June 6!

Flagstaff Tweed, Wednesday, June 6, 2012
As part of Bike to Work Week, local cyclist Ray Walker organized a Tweed Ride to put a little extra style and fancy into the week's festivities.  I'll be going and hope you will, too, if you happen to be in the area.  Participants will meet at 6 p.m. at Flagstaff Bike Revolution and Mother Road Brewery at 3 and 7 S. Mike's Pike on Flagstaff's southside.  Link here for more details.  The event is free so if you have a bicycle, enjoy being around nice people, and are in Flagstaff I'm not quite sure why you wouldn't attend.

If you've never attended a Tweed Ride, you can expect a mix of bicycles, civilized libation and fancy dress in the Downton Abbey  English country manner.  If you don't have time to pull together a knickerbocker-ish outfit for the occasion, not to worry, your Sunday-best will do.  And remember, this is Flagstaff so don't be afraid to give it your own special mountain-town fashion twist.

I love Tweed Rides and look forward to seeing a lot of new faces tat this one, as well as all the usual suspects.  The June ride could be my last Flagstaff Tweed for sometime to come since Bob and I are relocating down to Phoenix for his new job and my graduate program.  My camera will be in hand all night so I can record memories and post them here.  See you there.
